Springtime Hub
To welcome in the Spring the Hub is planning a day trip to Westonbirt Arboretum this month.
It’s a beautiful place to go and there is alot to do for little ones.
As we are going as a group we will get a discount on entry tickets – it will cost £6 per adult, £2 per child over 5 and is free for kids under 5*.
We intend to carshare as much as possible – so please do let us know if you have any spaces in your car and you wouldn’t mind giving someone a lift.
When: Saturday 24th April – meeting in the car park at 10:45
Where: the address is Westonbirt ‘The National Arboretum’, Nr Tetbury, Glos, GL8 8QS – see map online
What to bring: picnic (food to share if you like!), entrance fee, friends!
Extra info: the drive from Bristol takes about 40 mins. Please try to get there for 10:45 – we need to all go into the park at the same time. We will meet in the car park.
Please let us know if you would like to come – as we are booking as a group I need to know numbers. Can you please reply stating:
- if you are coming
- how many of you are coming
- if you need a lift or can offer a lift
* If anyone would like to come but would struggle to pay the entrance fee please let us know as we have funding available from our church to assist.

The Hub is going for a walk.
Saturday 6 March, 10am-12pm.
Badock's Wood, Southmead
Here’s the plan:
- Meet at Henleaze Church at 10.00am.
- Have some light snacks together (please feel free to bring some snacks with you to share).
- At 10.45am we will go for a short walk around Badock’s Wood. It’s about 15 mins walk from the church.
- The walk will last about an hour, and we’ll only go if the weather is good enough.
- You don’t have to go on the walk. You can hang out at the church if you prefer.
- We’ll finish around 12.00pm.
- As usual please try to find parking on the streets as it’s very limited at the church.

High Tea at The Hub
More tea, vicar?
Saturday 6 February 2pm-4pm at Henleaze Church
Come and join us for our first meeting of 2010.
We’ll be serving such delights as scones, clotted cream, mini-sandwiches and er… tea.
Cost: It’s on us ‘cos we love you. But if you want to donate £1 per family you’re more than welcome to.
Other stuff:
- Parking is always very limited around the church. Please park on the streets nearby.
- There’ll be toys and games and other distractions for the little’uns.
- Bring your friends / colleagues / strangers as you see fit. Everyone is always welcome.
